Product Feature: A Closer Look at the POLY Pro LED Therapy Systems

What if you could help your customers clear up their acne, rejuvenate skin cells and treat sore muscles, just by putting them in the right light?

That’s the idea behind LED light therapy, a technique that uses various wavelengths of light (red, blue, infrared and combined) to stimulate cells beneath the skin. The technology behind LED therapy was first used by NASA to grow plants on space shuttles. Now, it’s used by estheticians, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, chiropractors, home users and more, to treat a variety of conditions.

A light-therapy system can be a great addition to your business. The therapy, which is becoming increasingly popular, can be integrated with other treatments (or used on its own) to attract new customers and keep your clients coming back for more.

On the other hand, there are many light-therapy machines on the market, each offering unique features, benefits and drawbacks. How do you find the right option for your business?

Today, our independent team is taking a closer look at an LED therapy system: the POLY Pro (Rejuv, Regen & Clear). Once you’ve read through our overview, contact our team for a free consultation, and we’ll help you determine whether POLY Pro (or another system) is right for you.

Overview: POLY Pro (Rejuv, Regen & Clear)

POLY Pro LED therapy systems use various wavelengths of light to treat acne, rejuvenate skin and help manage pain. Available in three models—Rejuv, Regen and Clear—the POLY Pro uses red, blue and infrared light to engage tissue just beneath the skin for a variety of treatments. The key feature of the POLY Pro system is its flexible, 5-panel head. Attached to an articulated arm, this unique feature allows the POLY Pro to deliver light therapy to anywhere on the body, including hard-to-reach areas, like underarms and thighs.

Key Features

  • Contouring 5-Panel FLEX Head
  • Multiple wavelength options: red, blue, infrared & combined
  • Different models for different treatments: Rejuv for rejuvenating cells, Regen for managing pain, Clear for treating acne (combination treatment heads available)
  • Easy-to-use touchscreen LCD display
  • Portable, with a wheeled base
  • No attendant required; attend to other clients during POLY treatment
  • Zero recovery time required
  • Non-invasive; no tissue damage
  • Integrates with almost any other skincare treatment: micro-needling, peels, wax, etc.

What We Like about POLY Pro

It’s extremely flexible. There’s nothing more frustrating than being unable to deliver the therapy your client wants because of a machine’s limitations. That’s what we find so refreshing about the POLY Pro. It’s so flexible that it can be quickly adjusted to deliver light therapy wherever your customer needs it, including hard-to-reach areas.

The ‘head’ of the POLY Pro (the part of the device that delivers light) is divided into 5 panels, attached to one another on hinges, at the end of an articulated arm with multiple joints. When you’re ready to treat a client, the articulate arm allows you to position the POLY Pro at the optimal angle. Then, you can contour the 5-panel head into whatever shape you need to deliver treatment. If you’re treating a large, flat surface—like the client’s back—you can flatten the panels. If you’re treating the client’s thigh or underarm, you can shape the panels into a half-circle or J-shape. Positioning the device is intuitive; there’s no special training required.

It doesn’t require an operator. One of the most difficult parts of running a business like yours is treating multiple customers at the same time. Obviously, you don’t want to leave any client alone for too long—they’ll become bored, and they might be less likely to come back for more services—but appointments tend to overlap, especially during busy times of the day.

The POLY Pro is a clever solution to appointment-juggling. Once you’ve positioned the POLY Pro over your client and started the treatment—which can last up to an hour—you don’t need to be in the room. Most clients find LED therapy to be relaxing and meditative, so you can leave them to enjoy the light while making the rounds to your other customers. That way, your clients are never bored, managing multiple appointments become easier, and there’s less downtime. You are continuing to make money and provide treatment, even when you’re in another room.

It’s safe and gentle. Unlike some chemicals, drugs and other light treatments, the FDA-cleared POLY Pro is extremely gentle on the user and doesn’t require any recovery time. LED light does not contain UV rays, so it’s safe for regular use. When treatment is done, clients can immediately return to their normal routine. Many clients and providers like to use LED light therapy right before or after other treatments, such as micro-needling or peels.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

Red or blue? The POLY Pro LED therapy system is available in three models—Rejuv, Regen & Clear—each one designed to deliver a slightly different treatment using red, blue or infrared light. (Combination devices are also available.) If you decide that the POLY Pro is right for your business, our team can help you pick the right model.

Available space. Floorspace is always a key concern for businesses in your industry. While the POLY Pro is compact and mobile, you always want to ensure that your business has enough floorspace before purchasing another machine.

Integration. How can the POLY Pro be integrated into your business model, existing treatments and marketing? Our consultants will help you make the most of your investment.

Budget. The right light-therapy system can quickly pay for itself, but you always want to consider cashflow before investing in a machine. We can help you find the right system for your budget and set the optimal price point for your clients.
